Project 3

Our research is centered on providing treatment for those most vulnerable to HIV, including those from racial/ethnic minority backgrounds and LGBTQIA+ individuals in efforts to identify basic science mechanisms that underly neurologic outcomes. Through these efforts, we hope to identify biologic and sociodemographic factors that contribute to HIV disparities. Highly translational in nature, this research is at the interface of basic science and clinical medicine, at the nexus of pharmacology, neuroscience, and immunology, and includes frequent collaboration with scientists and clinicians from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
